Representing over 5 decades of combined experience across government, academia, and public and private sectors this team defines the purpose and goals of the Consortium and determines the strategic priorities related to activities, project, initiatives and opportunities.
COUNCIL
The Council is comprised of experts, innovators and thought-leaders who provide strategic guidance and insight to strengthen the impacts and outcomes of the Consortium’s efforts to ensure opportunities, projects and initiatives are able to scale, integrate and remain mission-relevant. The expertise of the Council Members is focused in three areas:
Science & Technology
High-level thought leaders and subject matter experts from government, industry, and academia who establish and apply shared standards and criteria to guide the collaborative development and testing of future space food systems for analog, demonstration, and space-to-Earth deployment.
Culinary Arts & Hospitality
Chefs and culinary innovators who bring human-centered perspectives to space food by advancing new ideas, technologies, and global influences that shape the future of food for space and Earth.
Astronauts & End-Users
Government, commercial, and analog astronauts who provide operator perspectives to inform space food systems R&D, translating mission experience into human-centered, feasible designs that support health, performance, and well-being.
